Accident on the Link Road in Cascavelle: Driver Tests Positive for Alcohol

The driver involved in the accident that occurred yesterday on the Link Road in Cascavelle had a blood alcohol level of 70 micrograms, according to police reports. Two passengers in the vehicle are currently under observation at Victoria Hospital.

According to initial police findings, the vehicle lost control abruptly around 6:20 PM, near the Cascavelle roundabout. In an attempt to overtake, the vehicle first grazed another car before colliding head-on with a Mitsubishi Pajero and a BMW, ultimately overturning on the roadway.

At the scene, the Tamarin firefighters, the Road Traffic Unit, the Emergency Response Service (ERS), and the Police Towing Service secured the area and cleared the wrecked vehicles.

As there are no surveillance cameras in the area, investigators are relying on eyewitness accounts and observations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident. However, a video of the accident is currently circulating on social media.
