Tragedy in Petit-Raffray: 8-Month-Old Baby Drowns in Swimming Pool

A tragedy occurred this afternoon in Petit-Raffray. An eight-month-old baby passed away after being found in a swimming pool while playing with his older sister, who is also young.

The child was taken by a 39-year-old babysitter to the Mediclinic in Goodlands, where medical staff confirmed the death.

When questioned by the Goodlands police, the babysitter stated that the infant was under her care and that at one point, she had found him in a children's pool. The babysitter, responsible for supervising the child, is currently being interviewed by the police, along with the baby's parents.

An autopsy will be conducted this Saturday evening to determine the exact circumstances of the death. A police investigation has been launched.
