Tragedy in Petit-Raffray: Death of an Eight-Month-Old Baby

A tragic incident occurred this afternoon in Petit-Raffray, where an eight-month-old baby drowned in a swimming pool. According to initial reports, the baby was at home with their older sibling, who is also very young, at the time of the incident.

The child was under the care of a 39-year-old babysitter and was rushed to the Mediclinic in Goodlands, where medical staff confirmed the baby's death.

The babysitter was questioned by the police in Goodlands and stated that the baby was in her supervision when she found them in a children's pool. Both the babysitter and the baby's parents are currently being interviewed by investigators.

An autopsy is scheduled for this Saturday to determine the exact cause of death, and a police investigation is underway.
