Tragedy in Petit-Raffray: 8-Month-Old Baby Drowns in Pool

A tragedy occurred this afternoon in Petit-Raffray. An eight-month-old baby died after falling into a pool while playing with their older sister, who is also very young.

The child was taken to the Mediclinic in Goodlands by a 39-year-old babysitter, where medical staff confirmed the baby's death.

When questioned by the Goodlands police, the babysitter stated that the infant was under her care and that at one point, she found them in a children's pool. The babysitter, responsible for supervising the child, is currently being questioned by the police, along with the baby's parents.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday evening to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death. A police investigation has been launched.
