FCC-ADSU Operation: Seizure of Vehicles, Money, and Jewelry from the Ghurboo Family in Résidence Barkly

A joint operation by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) and the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) targeted the Ghurboo family in Résidence Barkly on Wednesday morning. The intervention involved ADSU focusing on drug trafficking aspects, while the FCC investigated alleged money laundering offenses. Authorities seized a significant fleet of vehicles, including a tractor, several cars, numerous motorcycles, and an ATV. Additionally, a sum of cash - currently being counted - and jewelry were also confiscated. The Ghurboo family is already under investigation by the FCC for money laundering activities.
