Subron emphasizes the need for a reorientation of the Alliance of Change towards leftist policies

After mourning the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Paul Bérenger, it is now time for action. This is the message from Rezistans ek Alternativ (ReA), which asserts the need to reorient the Alliance of Change towards a more social, ecological, and solidarity-based policy.

During a press conference in Moka this Saturday, Minister Ashok Subron, spokesperson for ReA, stated that he had shared his party's concerns with Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam during a meeting held last Thursday.

According to him, recent events - particularly Paul Bérenger's resignation from his position as Deputy Prime Minister - highlight certain factors of instability in the local political landscape. He also lamented the perceived disproportionate influence of certain private sector lobbies.

Ashok Subron believes it is now time to implement the measures announced in the governmental program, particularly regarding the fight against corruption, environmental protection, and alleviating social distress.
