Chikungunya: 31 Cases Reported in One Day
Thirty-one local cases of chikungunya were reported yesterday, an increase from 22 the previous day. These figures were provided by Dr. Fazil Khodaboccus, the acting director of health services.
To date, over 700 cases have been recorded since the beginning of the year. Roche-Brunes, Plaine-Magnien, and Camp-Le-Vieux are among the main hotspots.
Dr. Fazil Khodaboccus emphasizes that the situation is worsening and urges caution due to the rise in mosquito populations.
