Parliament: The Private Notice Question Focused on the Economic Impact of the Middle Eastern Conflict
The Private Notice Question (PNQ) from the opposition leader will be dedicated this Tuesday to the economic and social repercussions of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Joe Lesjongard will address his PNQ to the Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam.
The opposition leader will specifically question the head of government about the works of the inter-ministerial committee established to assess the impact of this crisis. He seeks clarification on the number of meetings held, any conclusions drawn, and the possibility of making the reports public.
Other points raised include the decisions considered to address the current economic situation, the expected revenue from VAT and excise duties on petroleum products, as well as the potential for reducing these taxes.
You can follow this PNQ live on Radio Plus, our Facebook page, and on the TéléPlus channel on YouTube, starting at 11:20 AM.
