Parliament: PMQT: Wave of Departures Following Paul Bérenger's Resignation
The resignation of Paul Bérenger from his position as Deputy Prime Minister has caused a significant shockwave within public institutions. In response to a question from MP Adrien Duval, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam detailed in Parliament the extent of the departures that followed.
As of April 3, 2026, a total of 31 resignations have been recorded. However, none have been reported in diplomatic missions abroad. On the other hand, various public agencies have seen a surge in departures.
