Public Official Using Office for Personal Gain: Anba Manikham Arrested by the FCC Following Controversial Audi Sale

A former senior executive of Air Mauritius is in hot water. Anba Manikham, who was a member of the board of Jet Prime in 2022, was arrested on Wednesday by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) as part of an investigation into the controversial sale of a vehicle belonging to that subsidiary. He is suspected of violating the Financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laundering Act, and is alleged to have committed offenses related to "public official using office for gratification."
