Arianne Navarre Marie: "The Domestic Abuse Bill will be presented to the National Assembly within a month"

The Domestic Abuse Bill is set to be introduced in Parliament within a month. This was stated by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare, Arianne Navarre Marie, during a session of the National Assembly on Tuesday, April 14. She was responding to a follow-up question from opposition leader Joe Lesjongard during the Private Notice Question (PNQ) focused on domestic violence and femicide.

Another important point to note: out of the 10 women killed since January 2025, seven were under "Protection Orders."
