Allegations of Abuse at Twaha Academy: Video Recorder Seized, Two Witnesses Questioned
In the investigation concerning allegations of abuse against Mufti Azhar Peerbocus, the former director of Twaha Academy, the police have seized the school's digital video recorder. This equipment has been handed over to the IT Unit for examination.
In parallel, a former teacher and a former cook from the academy were questioned as witnesses on Thursday, April 16.
Mufti Azhar Peerbocus, who is facing multiple complaints from students, is currently in South Africa. An "Arrest Upon Arrival" notice has been issued against him.
