Mpox: Two Suspected Cases, One Patient Escaped from Victoria Hospital
According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, as of today (Wednesday at 1 PM), there are two suspected cases of Mpox in the country. One patient has already been admitted to Victoria Hospital in Candos and is in isolation in an infectious ward. The other patient, who was supposed to be isolated in the same hospital, escaped before the admission procedures were completed. A report has been filed with the police, and the concerned patient is actively being searched for.
Dr. Dinassing from the Ministry of Health and Wellness stated to ION News that the country has 10,000 Mpox vaccines available. He also explained that the results of the tests for the first suspected case will be known this afternoon.
