Moderate Showers Expected This Sunday

Moderate showers are expected this Sunday, May 17, in Mauritius due to clouds coming from the southeast. According to the Vacoas meteorological station, the weather will be partly cloudy throughout the day, with rain primarily affecting the eastern half of the island, the south, and the central plateau. Pockets of fog are also anticipated in the higher areas.

Maximum temperatures will range between 23 and 25 °C on the central plateau and between 27 and 29 °C in coastal regions. During the night, the sky will remain partly cloudy to overcast, with some showers expected in the higher areas. The wind will blow from the southeast at around 20 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h.

The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with southwest swells reaching approximately 3 meters. Sea outings in open waters as well as in the lagoons of the west, south, and east are discouraged.
