Major Operation by the FCC: Drug Seizure from a Resident of Camp-Levieux

A major operation conducted by the National Coordination Committee this morning resulted in the seizure of drugs and over fifteen vehicles, including cars, SUVs, motorcycles, and vintage cars, along with four arrests. The operation involved the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), the police, the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA), the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and other agencies.

Searches were carried out in Camp-Levieux, Rose-Hill, Le Morne, and other areas. Two of the suspects reside in Le Morne and Camp-Levieux, Rose-Hill.

This operation is linked to suspicions of drug trafficking and money laundering. At this time, the exact amount of drugs seized and the precise number of confiscated vehicles have not yet been disclosed by the authorities.

The vehicles have been transferred to the FCC headquarters in Réduit, where the suspects are currently being interrogated.
