Major Operation by the FCC: Motorcycles Also Seized

In addition to vehicles — cars, SUVs, and collectible cars — motorcycles were also seized during a large-scale operation conducted this morning by the National Coordination Committee. This joint action involved the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), the police, the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA), the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and other agencies.

Searches took place in Camp-Levieux, Rose-Hill, Le Morne, and other regions. Four suspects were arrested, with two residing in Le Morne and Camp-Levieux, Rose-Hill, respectively.

This operation is linked to suspicions of drug trafficking and money laundering. At this stage, the exact quantity of drugs seized, as well as the precise number of vehicles confiscated, has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.
