The FCC is investigating Mamy Ravatomanga, with former commissioner Junaid Fakim implicated for allegedly leaking confidential information related to the inquiry into the Malagasy tycoon. The investigation centers around a money laundering offense in Mauritius. The FCC has charged Ravatomanga’s associate, David Thomas, who was arrested on October 24, and during the interrogation, Fakim's name was mentioned. Telephone records reveal that Fakim may have shared sensitive information with Ravatomanga's close circle. Furthermore, a phone call between Fakim and the interim FCC director, Sanjay Dawoodarry, regarding the investigation is also being scrutinized. Meanwhile, Mamy Ravatomanga remains hospitalized in Phoenix under observation and is expected to be interrogated soon regarding his alleged money laundering activities amounting to approximately Rs 7.3 billion.
