Sanjiv Ramdanee Released on Bail

Sanjiv Ramdanee has been released on bail after providing two guarantees of 700,000 rupees each and signing a debt acknowledgment of 5 million rupees for his conditional release. This decision was made by the Port-Louis District Court on Wednesday afternoon, December 3rd. The Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) did not object to his conditional release.

The brother-in-law of the former Prime Minister appeared under a provisional charge of conspiracy, having spent the night at the Moka Detention Center. He was arrested the day before by the Financial Crimes Commission as part of the investigation into the "Toxic loans" case and is suspected of conspiring to obtain a loan of 470 million rupees intended for the construction of villas at Maradiva.
