At just 5 years old, Salomon Audibert already has big ideas. For Christmas, he welcomes us into his little ministry where love, gifts, and singing elves are always in session!
Salomon, if you were the Minister of Christmas, what would be your first law to make Mauritius happier?
It would be so cool to be the Minister of Christmas! If I were, I would make sure that Christmas Eve passes super quickly so that children don’t have to wait until the next day to open all their gifts!
What would you change so that all children in Mauritius have a better Christmas?
I would want every child to have someone to celebrate Christmas with, a nice meal, a gift that truly makes them happy, and above all, lots of love. I want no one to feel forgotten.
One thing you would ban during the holidays?
No curfews... Is that possible? (Laughs)
If you could give a magical gift to the entire island, what would it be?
I don’t know what to choose for everyone, so I’d prefer that each person receive a gift they really like. I would also like for expensive things to be accessible to everyone, for flowers to be everywhere, and for a big smile to light up the whole island of Mauritius.
If you could invite any personality or character to Mauritius for Christmas, who would it be and why?
Without hesitation, it would be the elves because they are small, super cool, and very kind. I love when they sing while preparing gifts for all the children. And I would like to thank them for everything they do for the children of Earth.
