According to his statements, the officer was driving a vehicle at high speed. Bhageeruth Mdhin reportedly criticized him, which the officer did not take well. The incident allegedly occurred on Sunday in St-Pierre, near a traffic light.

Bhageeruth Mdhin is currently hospitalized. He is requesting that the footage from the Safe City cameras be reviewed to shed light on this incident.

On its part, the police confirm that a complaint has been registered. The officer involved has also filed a complaint, citing charges of insult and dangerous driving.
