FCC: Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Fraud

Following an investigation by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), police constable Yashwantsingh Prayagsing, aged 35, was arrested on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in connection with an alleged fraud case.

He is accused of falsely presenting himself as a registered agent between September 2024 and December 2025 in Port Louis, in order to persuade an individual to purchase imported vehicles at supposedly advantageous prices.
