Alleged Rs 14 Million Fraud: Police Officer Arrested by the FCC
A 35-year-old police officer was arrested this Thursday by the Financial Crimes Commission in connection with an alleged fraud case.
According to initial reports, the events reportedly took place between September 2024 and December 2025 in Port-Louis. The constable is suspected of posing as a licensed agent to convince a victim to purchase imported vehicles at supposedly advantageous prices.
Through this scheme, an amount exceeding 14 million rupees is believed to have been siphoned off.
The suspect is currently being questioned by FCC investigators. The investigation is ongoing.
