Allegations of Abuse: Three Provisional Charges of 'Child Ill-Treatment' Against Mufti Peerbocus
Three provisional charges of "Child Ill-Treatment" have been brought against Mufti Azhar Peerbocus. This was stated by his lawyer, Me Yatin Varma, to reporters after leaving the Weekend Court on Sunday, April 19.
This followed the appearance of his client, Mufti Azhar Peerbocus, in court that morning. The police objected to his release, and he was returned to police custody. He is scheduled to appear again in court on Monday.
It is worth noting that the mufti was arrested upon his arrival at Plaisance Airport on Saturday evening. The former director of Twaha Academy is facing multiple complaints of alleged assault filed by children attending Twaha Academy Boarding School in Pont-Lardier, Bel-Air–Rivière-Sèche.
