Paul Bérenger: "I don't believe the MMM will last; they will dissolve!"

Paul Bérenger stated that the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) won’t last long; within three to six months, the party could vanish. He made these remarks during an interview with Radio Plus on Thursday, April 23. "I don't believe the MMM, as it is now, will last. In three to six months, I don't see it lasting. I'm not saying this won't impact the government, but within the country, they will dissolve!", declared the former leader of the MMM.

After leaving the mauve party, Paul Bérenger is now considering his new political formation. This new party is still in the works, with its name and symbol expected to be revealed soon.

However, Paul Bérenger does not seem ready to let go of the historic mauve color associated with the militants.

Although he has lost the MMM, he appears to cling to the mauve color in anticipation of forming a new party. He nurtures this hope because, according to his predictions, time is running out for the MMM still in government. He claims to sense a wave of support for himself and anticipates a major upheaval on the political scene in the coming months.

Commenting on the potential appointment of a Deputy Prime Minister, Paul Bérenger emphasized that the country’s interests should come first. He clarified that the symbol of a phoenix and the name ‘Mouvement Militant de la Renaissance’ have no connection to his new formation.
