Dr. Abu Kasenally, an esteemed surgeon, former minister, and respected public figure, passed away yesterday morning at the age of 84 after a prolonged illness. His funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 3 PM, with his remains leaving his residence in Clairfonds, Vacoas, for the Riche-Terre cemetery.

Born on August 10, 1941, in Rivière-du-Rempart, he pursued his medical studies and specialized training at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
