Murder of Sivanee Saminaden: Beltrami Kemayou at Central Barracks After His Release from Hospital

Beltrami Kemayou, the suspected murderer of Sivanee Saminaden, was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, January 7. He was taken to the Central Barracks by a team from the Special Supporting Unit (SSU) that afternoon.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian will be questioned by the Major Crimes Investigation Team (MCIT) regarding the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack on his wife, Sivanee Saminaden, aged 29, which occurred on Sunday, January 4, in Petit-Raffray. He is also accused of abandoning their six-month-old baby in a barrel outside their home before fleeing.

Beltrami Kemayou was later found on the beach of Anse-La-Raie, where he had been lynched by onlookers who witnessed the assault on a 16-year-old teenager. Earlier, he allegedly violently attacked a female driver, a French national, in Calodyne, biting her on the nose and lips before escaping.
