Murder of Sivanee Saminaden: "Beltrami Kemayou has always been a calm person," confides a friend

"I can't believe it. Beltrami Bolzano Kemayou has always been a calm person." This was shared on Wednesday, January 7, on RadioPlus by Ayotah Endali, a friend of the Cameroonian arrested for the murder of his partner, Sivanee Saminaden, as well as for the assault of a tourist and a teenager.

Speaking by phone from Yaoundé this afternoon, he expressed shock at the violence suffered by the 29-year-old woman. He learned the sad news through social media and refuses to believe that his childhood friend could commit such acts.

It is worth noting that Beltrami Kemayou, the alleged murderer of Sivanee Saminaden, was released from the hospital this Wednesday. The 24-year-old Cameroonian was taken to the Central Barracks before being placed in police custody. In a statement to the press, his lawyer, Me Nawaz Dookhee, indicated that his client was not yet in a condition to provide his account of the events. He will soon be questioned by the Major Crimes Investigation Team (MCIT) regarding the circumstances surrounding the fatal assault on his partner, which occurred on Sunday, January 4, in Petit-Raffray. Beltrami Kemayou is also accused of abandoning their six-month-old baby in a barrel outside their home before fleeing.

The suspect was later found on the beach at Anse-La-Raie after being lynched by onlookers who witnessed the assault on a 16-year-old teenager. Earlier, he had also violently attacked a French female driver in Calodyne, biting her on the nose and lips.
