Palmar: Police Officers Confronted at Public Beach
On the afternoon of Sunday, January 25th, the public beach in Palmar, located in the East, was the scene of intense incidents. A police intervention, initially prompted by citizen complaints, escalated as the crowd turned hostile.
Responding to reports of noise disturbances, the police arrived on the scene. They were met by a particularly aggressive group of youths. Despite a significant security presence that included at least five police vans, the situation quickly deteriorated. Officers were subjected to insults and had sand thrown at them. Some individuals even vandalized one of the police vehicles, going so far as to rip off its license plate.
An investigation has been launched to identify the perpetrators of these acts of vandalism and contempt towards officers in the line of duty.
