Incident in Palmar: 5 Arrested, Others Under Police Scrutiny
On January 25th, the police faced aggression from troublemakers at the public beach in Palmar, leading them to retreat. However, today, they have taken action and arrested five individuals for obstructing police duties. Another suspect is currently being interrogated. "We condemn all forms of aggression against our officers," stated DASP Suhail Lidialam, head of the Police Press Office, in a press statement.
Lidialam emphasized that it is unacceptable for a police officer to be assaulted while performing their duties. Recall that following complaints about noise pollution yesterday, several police officers went to the beach but were met with hostility from a crowd. Some individuals threw projectiles at police vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are anticipated.
