Two Cases of Mpox in Mauritius: Contact Tracing and Search for an Infected Patient
Two cases of Mpox (monkeypox) have been confirmed in Mauritius. The two patients, aged 46 and 31, recently traveled to Madagascar, where 485 cases have been reported. One is a Mauritian, while the other is a Comorian national. The 31-year-old initially presented to Victoria Hospital with fever symptoms following his trip. He was identified as a suspected case and placed in isolation pending further tests. However, he left the hospital before the results were available.
