The Malagasy Billionaire Faces His First Interrogation at the FCC

The Malagasy billionaire Mamy Ravatomanga is currently hospitalized at Premium Care Clinic in Phoenix since October 15. On October 24, he was informed by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) that he was subject to arrest. Since then, he has been under close police surveillance. November 5 marks a turning point in the Ravatomanga case as FCC investigators visited the Premium Care Clinic to escort him to Réduit Triangle for his first interrogation. His legal team, including lawyer Siddhartha Hawoldar, was at the FCC by 9:30 AM to await his arrival. "It was agreed with the FCC that our client would be taken for interrogation under certain conditions, due to his health status. He is at the clinic and should arrive around 9:30 AM. He remains under medical supervision, and the accompanying doctor will be present throughout the process. The interrogation will occur in four-hour sessions, after which he will return to the clinic to rest, as advised by his doctor. Our client has health issues but wishes to cooperate. We are acting with complete transparency," explained one of his lawyers. Meanwhile, an FCC team arrived at the clinic. At 9:45 AM, police arrived in two vehicles. Officers consulted with the Special Supporting Unit (SSU) for final instructions regarding the transfer, then proceeded to the room where the Malagasy businessman and lawyer Khushal Lobine were located. Moments later, medical staff from the clinic appeared, escorting Mamy Ravatomanga to the waiting ambulance. He was accompanied by FCC officers, his attending physician, and several nursing staff. A police motorcyclist led the way for the procession transporting the Malagasy billionaire to Réduit Triangle. Since October 24, the businessman has been under intensive police surveillance, with SSU teams rotating at the clinic and a sentinel stationed permanently outside his room.
