[MMM Press Conference] Paul Bérenger: "Any decision regarding the alliance postponed after March 12"
Paul Bérenger, the Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the MMM, held a press conference on Saturday afternoon following the central committee meeting. He stated that no decisions regarding the alliance will be made before March 12. He explained that this decision is made out of respect for the President of Seychelles, Patrick Herminie, who is expected in Mauritius this week to attend the independence celebrations as a guest of honor.
The DPM also addressed the recent revocation of the board of directors of the Tourism Authority and its chairman, José Arunasalom, which was announced on February 28. Paul Bérenger strongly criticized the Minister of Tourism, accusing him of failing to inform the Cabinet about this decision. "Since the last elections, the Ministry of Tourism has become a mess, and I do not hesitate to say so," he remarked.
