Mare-Chicose: Truckers Block Access to Landfill Site

A blockade at the Mare-Chicose landfill site has been ongoing since this morning. This action is being carried out by truck owners who work as contractors for the Sotravic company. They claim they have not been paid for several months.

Typically, around twenty trucks go to this site to collect wastewater. However, according to the drivers mobilized this morning, the Sotravic company has recently acquired its own vehicles to carry out these services.

We are still awaiting a statement from the Ministry of Environment.
