FCC: SP Jagai's Son Interrogated, Business Raided; Three Vehicles Seized

Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai, aged 25 and the son of Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashik Jagai, was apprehended on the morning of Tuesday, September 2, in Vallée-des-Prêtres by investigators from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC). This arrest is part of an investigation into an alleged money laundering case.
During the operation, investigators seized three vehicles: a Ford Raptor, a BMW, and a Suzuki Swift. These vehicles have been sealed at Réduit Triangle for the investigation. A search was also conducted at a business managed by Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai. Following this operation, he was taken back to Réduit Triangle for further questioning. He manages the family companies Nabsha Uclean Trading Ltd, EA Smart Choice Business Enterprise Ltd, and two other businesses, and is currently being questioned about the funding sources for the three seized vehicles.
It is worth noting that his father, SP Ashik Jagai, who has been in detention since Wednesday, August 13, in connection with the ‘Reward Money’ case, was granted conditional release on Tuesday by the Port-Louis court. He is required to pay three bail amounts of Rs 500,000 each by bank cheque and sign a debt acknowledgment of Rs 2.5 million.
