SP Jagai on His Son's Arrest: "It's All Part of the Show!"

Barely released on bail after two weeks in custody related to the Reward Money case, Police Superintendent Ashik Jagai found himself back at the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) this Tuesday. Not for further questioning, but to support his son, Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai, who was arrested that evening under a provisional charge of money laundering after a marathon interrogation.
When asked about his son's arrest, SP Jagai stated: "This is the normal course of events in this stage show. I was released, and now my son is arrested. It's all part of the show!"
Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai will spend the night in custody awaiting his court appearance on Wednesday. He was extensively questioned at the FCC's premises in Réduit after being apprehended earlier that morning at Vallée-des-Prêtres by commission investigators. This arrest is part of an investigation into an alleged money laundering offense.
During an operation conducted earlier that day, a Ford Raptor, a BMW, and a Suzuki Swift were seized. The vehicles have been sealed at Réduit Triangle for the purposes of the investigation.
At just 25 years old, Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai manages the family businesses, Nabsha Uclean Trading Ltd, EA Smart Choice Business Enterprise Ltd, and two other companies. He was questioned, among other things, about the sources of funding for the three seized vehicles.
