His Son Interrogated by the FCC: "It's a 'Stageplay'", Says SP Jagai

His son was interrogated by the FCC: "It's just a 'stageplay'", stated Police Superintendent (SP) Ashik Jagai in response to a media question regarding the interrogation of his son, Allysaheb Ashik Ameer Jagai, 25, by investigators from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC). This arrest is part of an investigation into an alleged money laundering case.
The former head of the now-defunct Police Headquarters Special Striking Team (PHQ SST) spoke to journalists as he left the FCC offices on the afternoon of September 2nd. He also commented on the seizure of three vehicles: a Ford Raptor, a BMW, and a Suzuki Swift, which are involved in the investigation concerning his son.
"At least we will only take TikTok or we will take the traffickers’ conversations, we will investigate. I heard they are quite influential. But God is there for everyone," SP Ashik Jagai remarked. He also answered questions regarding his time in police custody and the 'Reward Money' case. You can find his full statement in the attached video.
It is worth noting that the former head of the PHQ SST, who has been in custody since Wednesday, August 13, regarding the 'Reward Money' case, was granted conditional release this morning by the Port-Louis court. He had to pay three bail amounts of Rs 500,000 each via bank cheque and sign a debt acknowledgment of Rs 2.5 million.
