Death of Ras Natty Baby: OMCA Foundation Claims to Have Settled Hospital Bill in India
The hospital bill for Ras Natty Baby's care, whose real name was Joseph Nicolas Emilien, in India has finally been settled by the OMCA Foundation. This organization, which facilitated his transfer to India on April 8, paid over $23,000 to Park Hospital in Delhi, where the singer was admitted before passing away last Sunday. This amount is equivalent to more than one million rupees, according to the foundation's communications officer, Ali Bhurtun.
Ras Natty Baby's body will be repatriated to Mauritius tomorrow, with his funeral scheduled for Friday.
Following the controversy surrounding the payment of medical fees and the repatriation, the OMCA Foundation claims to have drawn from its emergency fund to cover the hospital bill. It is worth noting that the Ministry of Health had stated that the organization had refused to make this payment, a claim that the foundation later denied.
