Private Jet Transporting Former Malagasy PM to Mauritius: MSM Wants Investigation Report Made Public

A private jet bringing former Malagasy Prime Minister Christian Ntsay to Mauritius has raised questions. Maneesh Gobin, the secretary-general of the Mauritian Socialist Movement (MSM), expressed shock during a press conference on October 13, stating, "In what circumstances did this plane land in Plaisance? A plane does not land like this."
The jet landed on the night of October 12 at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, carrying Ntsay, who was ousted just a week prior, along with influential businessman and close advisor to President Andry Rajoelina, Maminiaina Ravatomanga, known as Mamy.
Gobin urged interim Prime Minister Paul Bérenger to make public the investigation report regarding the circumstances of the flight. He also called for calm in Madagascar, referring to it as a "brother country" of Mauritius.
Furthermore, the former Attorney General expressed concern over the rising incidents of violence and assaults in Mauritius, stating, "This is not a political issue. We ask the authorities to strengthen institutional capacities and restore public trust. Currently, it’s law and disorder. It’s not good."
When asked by Radio Plus about reopening the investigation into the death of Soopramanien Kistnen, he said, "Every crime deserves an investigation. If the Prime Minister finds it necessary to call in Scotland Yard or any foreign assistance, we have no problem with that."
For reference, the reopening of the investigation is scheduled for next month, as announced by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam in the National Assembly on October 10.
The MSM is also planning a press conference regarding education soon.
