The Malagasy Community in Mauritius Concerned About the Crisis in Madagascar

The Malagasy community in Mauritius is expressing concern over the ongoing situation in Madagascar. According to Nirina Randriamanantsoa-Louis, a member of Gen Z Malagasy in Mauritius, their relatives on the larger island are facing severe difficulties, including a prolonged lack of water and electricity. She states that nothing has been restored despite promises from the authorities.
Additionally, more Malagasies are increasingly demanding the resignation of the current president.
On his part, Christian, a resident of a popular neighborhood in Madagascar, notes that while inhabitants occasionally go outside, they remain cautious. "Even though we don’t feel truly in danger, we must stay vigilant," he specifies.
