On Sunday, October 12, Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina was extracted by a French military plane, according to information from RFI. An agreement between the Malagasy head of state and President Emmanuel Macron is said to have facilitated this operation. According to sources close to the matter, Rajoelina was first transported by helicopter to Sainte-Marie Island, located off the east coast of Madagascar, before boarding the French military aircraft.
