Murder of Yogeshwaree Bhunjun: Boat Owner Questioned by the MCIT

The investigation into the murder of Yogeshwaree Bhunjun is progressing. The owner of the boat that allegedly transported the victim's body at sea was extensively questioned by the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) last night.

During the interrogation, he claimed that he was unaware that his motorboat had been used in this case. He also denied any involvement. After being questioned, he was allowed to leave.

Meanwhile, the search for the body resumed this morning at sea near Rivière-Noire, but nothing has yet been found.

It is important to note that Yogeshwaree Bhunjun, 37, has been missing since February 23.

Her partner, Dr. Arvind Ramchurn, 40, is suspected of murder and orchestrating the disappearance of the body, though he maintains his innocence.

According to the investigation, he allegedly sought the help of Fadhill Hoossen Dulloo before Mamade Imteaize Peeroo and Khalif Ul Ahmad Raffick became involved in transporting the body to Case-Noyale beach, where it was reportedly thrown into the water, tied to a rock. The three suspects have also been arrested.
