Weather: Heavy Rain Warning in Effect Until 4:30 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2026

A heavy rain warning is in effect in Mauritius until 4:30 AM tomorrow morning, Saturday, April 4, according to a special bulletin issued by the weather station. Active clouds associated with a frontal system coming from the west are influencing local weather conditions. Heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms are observed in the western part of the island and will gradually spread to other regions. Temporary water accumulations are possible in flood-prone areas. Visibility will be reduced due to fog and showers in certain areas. The public is advised to: 1- Stay sheltered, avoid low-lying areas, hiking, and going out to sea, and not to take shelter under trees during thunderstorms; 2- Avoid areas prone to water accumulation; 3- Exercise extreme caution on the roads.
