Weather: Localized Showers Expected This Saturday, Sea Outings Not Recommended
No heavy rain warning is currently in effect in Mauritius. However, clouds coming from the west will bring some showers early this morning to the western part of the island and the central plateau. The weather will improve afterward.According to forecasts from the meteorological station, the sky will become temporarily cloudy this afternoon in the northeast, with localized showers.The maximum temperature will range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius in elevated areas and between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius along the coastal regions.The sky will be clear during the night.The minimum temperature will fluctuate between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius on the coast.The wind will blow from the south at a speed of 10 to 20 km/h, becoming light and variable during the night.The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with swells from the southwest reaching 2.5 meters. Sea outings are not recommended.Additional Information:The strong tropical storm intensified into a tropical cyclone overnight. At 04:00, tropical cyclone Indusa was centered around point 19.2 degrees South latitude and 70.7 degrees East longitude. It is moving in a general south-southwest direction at about 25 km/h and will not directly affect the weather on the Mascarene Islands.
