After Their Resignation from the MMM: Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall Will Sit in the Opposition
Within the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), a new chapter begins after over 50 years. Paul Bérenger, his daughter Joanna Bérenger, and the MP for constituency No. 10, Chetan Baboolall, submitted a joint resignation letter to the party's Secretary General, Rajesh Bhagwan, on Monday, April 13th.
Currently, the MMM's political bureau is experiencing a real game of musical chairs in the National Assembly, as Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall have chosen to sit in the opposition. A letter was also sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra, to inform her of their presence at tomorrow's parliamentary session.
