Politics: No Resignation from Paul Bérenger Before the MMM Central Committee Meeting Scheduled for This Afternoon
All eyes will be on the MMM Central Committee (CC), scheduled for 3:30 PM at Hennessy Park in Ébène this Wednesday. This is a crucial meeting as the possibility of Paul Bérenger resigning from his position as Deputy Prime Minister looms.
At this point, he is expected not to submit his resignation before the Central Committee convenes.
The group of dissenters, which includes Rajesh Bhagwan, Arianne Navarre-Marie, Aadil Ameer Meea, and Ajay Gunness - Reza Uteem is likely to follow the majority trend, along with most members of parliament, in an attempt to put Paul Bérenger in the minority to encourage him to remain in the government.
Depending on how the meeting unfolds and if he is indeed placed in the minority, Paul Bérenger could resign from the MMM. However, initially, he will attempt to convince the majority of the reasons for his departure from the government, relying on the arguments he will present.
The formation of a new political force could, in a later stage, represent a serious option for Bérenger's camp in the event of a resignation.
