Adrien Duval, the opposition whip, expressed a warm welcome to Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall as they join the opposition ranks. Speaking to our editorial team this morning, he stated, "I wish to welcome you into the ranks of the Opposition."
However, he emphasized that Paul Bérenger needs to provide a thorough explanation regarding the reasons for his resignation from his position as Deputy Prime Minister and his party, among other matters. "The last election resulted in a 60-0 outcome with the opposition being severely underrepresented... It's in the interest of the country that the opposition ranks are strengthened."
