Ramgoolam: "I will not interfere in the MMM's affairs. My message: unity"
The Prime Minister briefly commented on the situation within the MMM. Navin Ramgoolam emphasizes that he will not interfere in another party's affairs.
"I will not interfere in the MMM's affairs. They must decide. But my appeal is for unity. This was indeed my message for independence," stated the government leader following the celebrations of Ugadi at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Moka on Thursday afternoon.
The MMM is currently facing an internal crisis. Its leader, Paul Bérenger, is considering resigning from his position as Deputy Prime Minister. However, a large majority of MMM members want the Mauves to remain in the government.
