National Assembly: Joanna Bérenger and Chetan Baboolall Absent
On Tuesday, all eyes were on the benches of the National Assembly. The reason was to see if Joanna Bérenger or other members of the Mouvement Militant Mauricien (MMM) were present or had chosen to skip the parliamentary proceedings.
Like her father, Paul Bérenger, the former junior minister for the Environment was notably absent, not occupying her usual seat next to Dhaneswar Damree in the third row of the hemicycle.
It's worth mentioning that Chetan Baboolall, the MMM deputy for constituency No. 10, was also absent.
However, despite ongoing rumors about him, Ludovic Casernes, the MMM representative for Port-Louis North–Montagne Longue, was indeed present.
