"I have nothing against Paul Bérenger; I will support him until my last drop of sweat," exclaims a die-hard mauve supporter

Mixed feelings from supporters of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) gathered on Ambrose Street in Rose-Hill this Monday afternoon, March 23, where an unprecedented political bureau meeting of the party is taking place. Leader Paul Bérenger did not attend.
"I have nothing against Paul Bérenger. The MMM has been elected within the government and must remain in the government to work for the country. Not everyone can agree on a single issue. There must be differences of opinion. We need to find a consensus to work for the country," declared a supporter identifying himself as a die-hard mauve.
"Our country needs to move forward. Supporters need to find work. The less fortunate need housing. If you go into opposition, how will you solve problems?" he questioned. He expressed his sadness upon learning of Paul Bérenger's resignation.
"Well, Paul must be more intelligent than me. More patriotic than me for this country," he emphasized.
He added: "Until my last drop of sweat, I will support him." Here is an excerpt.
