Joanna Bérenger to Civil Servants: 'I urged them to prioritize the country in all their decisions'

"I resigned from my position and expressed my gratitude to the officers and civil servants of the ministry. I urged them to prioritize the country above all in every decision they make. This is what I have done and will continue to do. This was indeed my motivation behind my decision."

Joanna Bérenger made this statement to RadioPlus on Monday, March 23, after submitting her resignation as Junior Minister for the Environment to the Presidency.

"I believe in activist values and I have confidence in the one who has embodied them best for 50 years," she added.

This development comes after Paul Bérenger resigned from his position as Deputy Prime Minister on Friday.

In the aftermath, Nabil Moolna, advisor to the Attorney General's office, along with Shaffick Ahmad, Senior Advisor to Paul Bérenger, also stepped down from their roles.

All eyes are now on the MMM's Political Bureau, with its meeting scheduled for this Monday expected to be crucial for the party's leadership.
